Why Spartan? My husband was talking about the Spartans for some reason and it got me to thinking.
The Spartans were a simple race of ancient Greeks. They admired the arts and women had equal rights to men. But that is not why I’m talking about The Spartans.
An Economy of Words
Spartan, the word, means unadorned, spare, simply, plainly.
In a writing sense, it means an economy of words.
So, in the spirit of “Spartan”…two words.
It came to me today as I was waking. The word shot into my head just as my cat pounced on me and the sudden motion startled me out of sleep so that it tended to put an even greater emphasis on the word.
It became the WORD OF THE DAY, so to speak.
Believe… in myself.
Believe… for it to come to me.
Believe… that I deserve it.
Believe… that I am worthy.
Then, it naturally followed…
If I believe. then I have to be willing to receive.
To receive, it requires being open.
‘Yes, more of this. Keep it coming. I can handle even more…of what I believe…of what I want.’
Seems so simple.
Sometimes the simpler the better.
What’s YOUR word(s) for the day?
